In what was considered by most to be the match of the week in League One, Millwall lacked the enthusiasm and stamina to hold off League-best Leicester City in a 1-0 defeat at the Den.

Manager Kenny Jackett, certainly could not have been pleased with his squad’s performance in front of the season’s best home crowd of 13,264.

Millwall’s former-favorite keeper, Tony “Denzil”  Warner, made his first appearance for LCFC today. He showed some great skill as the fans in the Den were used to seeing in the past including a game-saving stop on Ashley Grimes late in the game that would have equalized.

Jackett kept his men in the 4-3-3  formation that led them to victory in their last 3 matches, but the team’s lack of pace and creativity kept them from extending the streak. It may not have been a win that South London supporters expected, but hopes were high due to the recent run of form.

Next up: Another huge match. MK Dons recently passed the Lions in the table with a 6-2 thrashing of Oldham on Saturday, but we can draw even again with a strong performance away from home. This will be another tought test for our defense , with Striker Sam Baldock coming off of his brace against Oldham.

Prediction: Draw 1-1
